What it is
The Active Stack is the same 16 kWh LiFePO4 pack as the 16K Pro, split into sections that stack on a base under a control head. Each section is a two-man carry through a doorway, which matters in a basement or a loft.
Every tower has a built-in precharge circuit that soft-starts the inverter on its own — no precharge button to remember. Active balancing moves charge between cells, and heater pads protect the pack from sub-zero charging.
Up to 15 towers run on one communication chain with automatic addressing. Series connection is not allowed; towers always run in parallel.

Questions we get
How many towers can I run together?
Up to 15 on one communication chain. The master (the one tower cabled to the inverter) is address 0, all four switches OFF; the rest take 1, 2, 3 and up, no repeats. On a job with more than one inverter, give each inverter its own equal bank of towers.
Can I stack towers in series for a higher voltage?
No. Series connection is prohibited. Towers run in parallel only, on a 48 V system.
What is the precharge for?
An inverter's capacitors pull a big inrush when they first see the battery. The Active Stack soft-starts that connection itself, so there is no precharge button to press and no arc on the terminals.
Does every tower need a base and a control head?
Yes — one base and one control head per tower, whatever the section count.
Which inverters does it pair with?
Closed-loop with the KOOR All-in-One and 12K, and with major brands over CAN or RS485. We publish plug-by-plug wiring guides — ask for yours.
Is it UL listed?
No. Tell your inspector and insurer before specifying it on a permitted job.
What is the warranty?
10 years from Fantastech Energy Solution LLC.
